A selection of contemporary painting, drawing and video art
In

Independents
6 October - 20 October 2008. Private view: 5 October
2008
11-13
Wolstenholme Square Liverpool
Featuring works
by 30 contemporary artists
Welcome
to the salon!
Join us in a land
of golden frames, wide landscapes, fleshy nudes and exuberant
still life works. Where demons of etching scream from dusty
corners and city streets curl in maps of desire. Fragments
of eternal realities and glimpses of other worlds embrace
in a terminal dance of oily fluids.
Constellations
of contemporary paintings, etchings, drawings and film, of
two parts. Gathered on the banks of the River Lea, Hackney,
London, examined, selected and relocated to the Mersey, Liverpool,
this salon explores traditional subject matter, densely hung
and re-framed for modern eyes.
Selected by The
Projection Gallery and Mission Studios, in association with
The Art Organisation and Liverpool Biennial Independents 2008.
